MVPC's Mexico Trip 2017
Thirteen construction teams of two hundred and fifty high school students and adults from California's Lamorinda area spent one week of their vacation time in Mexico to build 13 houses for poor families near Tijuana. Each team was led by a high school student and supported by two adult coaches. All houses were built with two rooms on a concrete foundation of 22 x 11 feet. Participants stayed in tents on a secure site in a rural neighborhood and were transported each day by bus to their construction sites. The costs of the trip and construction materials were paid for by the participants. This trip was organized by Moraga Valley Presbyterian Church together with Amor Ministries. Photos and videos were produced by a team of 6 students.
